Meanwhile, China on heatwave alert as temperatures soar whilst for Beijing, heat wave in China brings hottest day in 60 years with the temp hitting 111f. Ouch! I think I'd rather move to Australia where Alice Springs has just had it's coldest day on record.
In Spain, mercury rises to 44c in the shade
And in Vietnam: record hot weather sears northern, central regions
Slightly bizarre: man freezes to death in Taiwan heatwave whilst hundreds drown during Russian heatwave
