22nd October - Today's News: One Dead as Gonzalo Remnants Cross Britain


Although it was just a breezy day with the odd shower here - normal for autumn - conditions were more severe elsewhere as remnants of Hurricane Gonzalo batter Scotland whilst in England woman dies and others injured in high winds. 


France has just seen the hottest mid-October weekend since '54





And on Tuesday, wind farms outstrip nuclear power.  Fine, so long as it is windy every day, especially when a prolonged cold spell sets in in winter .....
