13th July - Today's News: Snow Delights the Aussies


 




There's surprisingly high geothermal heating beneath West Antarctic ice sheet -  but no, that is not why it is melting more rapidly at the moment.  It just means the ice sheet was always more vulnerable to melting should atmospheric conditions change.
