11th July - Today's News: Temperatures Hit 50c in North China Heatwave

China in the grip of sweltering heatwave with temperatures hitting 50 deg C - the highest temp reported on Ogimet was 49.0c at Turpan yesterday.  Officially the highest temperature ever recorded in China was 50.3c at Turpan in July 2015.
